News - Going Hollywood - Again!
 |
|
Steppin'
out at Black Tie Fundraiser in San Diego!
|
Well,
Folks, looks as tho' I am going "Hollywood"
again. If the silliness wasn't enough from my performance
(and my win, of course) on "The Weakest Link" last
Fall, I am at it again. The producers from "The Weakest
Link" so loved my antics and my look on TV that they
insisted I be scouted for another test of the mind
on TV and this time it's aired LIVE!
I'll
be on new TV Show called "By
the Numbers," airing Monday, June 9. Be sure to
check the website
for details on when to watch it. This show is about
testing one's IQ and it will pit a group of bodybuilders,
in which I'll participate against other groups such
as scientists, teachers, construction workers, students,
blondes and celebrities. Do me a favor when you watch
- cut me a little slack since I'll have traveled 10
hours that day from Boston to land just in time for
the filming!! So, let's see if we bodybuilders are
more than just brawn!
For
those of you who've been tracking my leg injury incident
and all the ordeal that ensued, I am happy to report
that I am ON TRACK and feeling great. . Everything
is coming along now according to the doc's plans.
All I can say is if you're going to be injured, you
damn well better be a bodybuilder. It's being the
muscular driven athlete that I am that is allowing
me to make the improvements that I am. Of course,
it's being the muscular driven athlete that I am that
got me injured in the first place, but that's another
story....In short, I am training and making strong
recovery. I expect to be making some appearances and
can't WAIT to see fans on the road:

I
am really looking forward to the BodyRock
event put on by Steve McAdams, July 12, in Virginia
at which I will be appearing as well as being a featured
athlete in the Muscle Camp co-produced that weekend
by Shawn
Ray. Following that appearance, I will join Shawn
again at Muscle Camp, July 27, in Las Vegas in conjuntion
with the USA Championships. If you've not signed up
for either of these, be sure to book at Shawn's
site! And, be sure to check my site for some other
upcoming appearances,
including some locally in San Diego.
Staying
busy, in April I was part of a successful fundraising
drive to raise money for the MS Society through the
MS walk in San Diego. The team I was on ranked in
the top 10 in the County - we raised over $8,000.
Many thanks to those of you who contributed and a
special one to Steve McAdams of BodyRock
and Shawn
Ray
who have matched my contributions via the upcoming
Bodyrock and Muscle Camp.
On
the hardcore training front, I am having a GREAT time
training with my San Diego training partners, new
IFBB Pro Derik Farnsworth and Pete Ciccone. The guys
at the gym like to call them "The Little People"
because they are shorter than I am (that's hard to
do) and strong as HELL! Props to Derik and Pete for
some slamming workouts that are doing wonders for
my being on track with my leg and getting strong all
over! As Derik says, "Hold on, 'cuz the
'G-Train' is coming around the track!"
Just wait until I am back on stage. Look out!
